Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stain Review

I am a massive fan of the glossy lip so when I heard about this new release from Revlon I could hardly contain my excitement and like any good blogger I went straight to Boots and picked up a couple of shades to play around with.

The colour selection is absoloutely fabulous but I am having a love affair with a pink lip so I was immediately drawn to 2 pretty pink colours, Rio Rush and Barcelona Nights. Both are super bright and highly pigmented leaving a great pop of colour on your lips. I think I slightly prefer the lighter pink colour, Rio Rush but that is just me, both are awesome colours.

My intial worry about these was that like the Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquers they would be quite hard to apply but actually they are so easy to apply! The amount of product the doe foot applicator holds is just perfect and the slightly angled brush makes it easy to apply to both your top and bottom lips. The wear on these seems to be pretty good, on a recent night out I only found I had to reapply this a couple of times, which I think is fab considering I was drinking a lot.

Overall I am definitely a fan of this new Revlon launch, I am really pleased with the colours I picked up but as we head into autumn I will definitely be going back into Boots to pick up some darker colours! Have you guys tried these? Got any colour recommendations? I will be back on Monday with a little look at my recent beauty favourites. Hope you enjoyed and thanks for reading,

Rimmel Wonder'Full Argan Oil Mascara Review

For ages my spending ban was going pretty good but now I am completely off the bandwagon, and I am going to be honest, it feels great! Couple of weeks ago I went so crazy in Boots and ended up picking out loads of new releases. Out of all of the ones I have been testing out I think this may be my favourite.

I really like the packaging of this, I think it looks super sleek and more expensive than the £6 I paid. The tube itself is quite big so I reckon there is a pretty good amount of product in there. The wand itself is pretty big as well which is a big plus for me.

The mascara claims to be 'Clump Free and Defining'. I would say this statement is pretty accurate. This leaves my lashes looking really nice and separated without a clump in sight! I have tried using this on my bottom lashes but the brush is just too big and doesn't leave my bottom lashes with the desired effect, which was a little disappointing but I rarely ever use anything other than my Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara for them anyway.

Now already I think this is a pretty good drugstore mascara, rivalling my favourite, the Max Factor False Lash Effect Mascara. But this mascara is special, it has Argan Oil in it. Everyone is obsessed with this oil at the moment and I can tell why. I have to admit I was quite dubious about whether this having Argan Oil in would actually do anything for my lashes, but I would argue it does. This feels much more lightweight than standard mascaras and also seems to be making my lashes grow quicker!

So overall I am loving this mascara, and can you really blame me, it is fab! I have been quite absent from my blog over the last couple of weeks but I am back on it now so make sure you follow me on Bloglovin so you don't miss any of my posts! Hope you enjoyed and thanks for reading,

Revlon Photo Ready Cream Blush In Coral Reef Review

At the moment I seem to be going crazy for cream blushers, and in the cream blush stakes the revlon photo ready cream blushes seem to up there with the best.

Last summer I picked up Pinched, which was a beautiful coral pink colour and it was a definite staple in my summer make up bag and I used it nearly everyday and this summer Coral Reef is my top pick. For me the name is slightly confusing, I wouldn't really describe this blusher as coral at all! It is a more red orange colour.  When I first saw this in the pan I was a bit scared, I didn't realise how bright it was (I ordered it online so hadnt seen the colour in the flesh). My scaredness was short lived though because it actually doesn't go on the cheeks too bright at all.

I have been applying this with the Real Techniques Stippling Brush which is just the best brush for cream products. This is perfect for just warming up your complexion and giving you a beautiful summer glow.

I think this is the best cream blusher out there in the drugstore at the moment. So everyone grab your purses, pop your sandals on and run down to Boots and grab this while the sun is still hanging around!!

I am about to go and do a bit of healthy baking so if you want a post on that let me know! Give me a follow on Bloglovin so you can stay up to date with all my posts. I will be back again this week with a little Lush haul!! Hope you enjoyed and thanks for reading,

What Is All The Fuss About?? They're Real Push Up Liner Review

I am not an eyeliner girl, partly because I seem to have a horrendously shaky hand and also because who has a million hours in the morning to carefully apply eye liner, I for one would rather a lie in. But when I heard about this new release from Benefit I have to admit I was fairly excited. This is a gel eyeliner in a pen form, meaning it comes out of this little nib which is suppose to make application easy.

Sounds great right? On first use this was so easy to apply and I did the best cat flick in the history of cat flicks, ish. I know things are looking good, BUT and this is a big ass but every other time I have used this I just haven't been impressed. The formula of this isn't great, it does stay on for a long time which I like but it can also be really flakey sometimes when you first put it on and sometimes it will just fall onto my lashes. It has at times smudged onto my eyelids as well, but in this hot weather I don't totally blame the product. That however isn't my main problem, my main issue is that this is not in anyway shape or form easy to use. I'll admit sometimes it is easier to use than others, but I haven't been able to consistently create a nice line with this.

Now don't get me wrong, I don't hate this product. It's not like I am going to stomp back to a Benefit counter and demand a refund, it isn't that bad. However I did have high hopes for this and everyone was raving about this which got me even more excited! I know I am in the very small minority with my opinion on this product so if you guys have tried this and love it please give me some tips/advice or anything because I do really want to love this. Plus I don't want to have wasted nearly £20 on an OK product!

Well rant over about that! Hope this has been helpful for anyone out there considering purchasing this, I think the key thing with some products is not to believe the hype! Please give my little blog a follow on Bloglovin so you don't miss any posts, I will be back later in the day with another post celebrating a special day! Hope you enjoyed and thanks for reading,

Make Up Revolution Sugar And Spice Blush Palette Review

So I am firmly on the Make Up Revolution party bus and loving every minute of it! Earlier this week I reviewed one of the salvation eye shadow palettes and now I have moved onto one of the 2 blush palettes. I ended up purchasing both the blush palettes but I am reviewing this one first because it is the one I have been using the most, so here goes!

This palette is full of 8 pink toned blushers. The first 2 colours in the palette (top left) are still pink toned but are very brown, really nice for contouring (especially the nose and bottom lip). The next 4 blushers are all matte pinks, ranging from bright pink to a more purple toned pink. The final 2 colours are both baked, one a highlighter and the other a blusher.

Overall I think this palette is very pretty. If you like a more muted blush colour this isn't really going to be a firm favourite, but it is always fun to play around with bright colours. These do go on very pigmented so a light touch is needed when applying and sometimes you have to spend a bit of time blending it out.

I am not really a fan of the highlighter in the palette, it is far to white which just leaves your cheekbones looking weird! Overall though I don't have many complaints about this palette, the colours are pretty, they apply nicely and stay on for a fair amount of time. Obviously they aren't the best blushers out there but for only £6 for a palette of 8 blushers it is a great way to built up a good collection.

I still have a few more Make Up Revolution products to review so make sure you give me a follow on Bloglovin so you don't miss them. What of their products have you used and enjoyed? I'm always after a good recommendation! I will be back again tomorrow where we will be talking about lazy make up products. Hope you enjoyed and thanks for reading,

Make Up Revolution Salvation Palette What You Waiting For? Review

I feel like there is a lot of hype surronding Make Up Revolution. When the brand first launched I think every beauty blogger was loving at least one of their products, and I was no different. I think I hauled my first order back in May and I love 2 out of 3 of the products, which is good! So when I started seeing some new palettes pop up on all my favourite beauty blogs I couldn't resist placing a little order. I did a haul for all of these palettes a couple of weeks back and now I feel like I have used them all enough to give them a proper review!

So out of all the palettes I purchased the What You Waiting For? Eyeshadow palette has definitely been the one I have been leaning for the most. The palette consists of 6 matte colours and 12 shimmery colours, all of which are lovely colours and nicely pigmented. This is a really lovely neutral warm toned palette.

This is a really nice collection of colours for daytime but you can also create some lovely smokey looking night time looks. So far my favourite colours are Scary Conversation, which is just the most beautiful gold bronze colour which I love for an all over lid colour. I like combining that with the matte Brand New Fans in the crease for a really pretty daytime look.

I also think for a really fun smokey eye Do It Alone and Sex Chromosome are a fabulous combination. The pinky purpley undertones in both give it a slightly different edge than a standard brown/black smokey look.

I think overall I prefer the matte colours slightly more, they just blend a little nicer and also have less fall out. I am very impressed by the palette as a whole though. It comes in at only £6 which I think is such a massive bargain for 18 shadows!! I have a couple of more palettes from Make Up Revolution which I shall be reviewing in the near future so watch out for that!

I hope you enjoyed this review and I shall be back tomorrow talking about my favourite summer lipsticks. Please give me a follow on Bloglovin and I'll see you all tomorrow. Hope you enjoy and thanks for reading,

2 True Brand Focus

So I decided to do a little monthly series here where I basically review a lot of products from 1 brand. I decided to start off with a brand that I had barely ever heard of, 2 True. For me this is the type of brand I just walk quickly past whilst trying to get to Sleek. But last month I decided to stop at the little counter thing and actually have a look at their products. I ended up buying 6 of their items and here are my thoughts!!

Smooth Matte Pressed Powder in 001, £1.99

I really wanted to get this in a translucent colour but there was any so I went for the only shade that was there 001. It is pretty much translucent so it has done the job. I have been using this recently as a setting powder as I tend to get oilier over summer. Now I don't mind this as a setting powder, it does keep my make up in place for longer but it can go slightly cakey after a while. That isn't really my problem with it though, what I don't like is the smell!! It literally smells like old lady make up if you can imagine what that smells like?

3 in 1 Concealer in 03, £1.99

I had actually heard Scared Toast talk about this concealer and she has said pretty good things so I was really excited to try this out. Unfortunately they only had the shade 03 in my Superdrug but I went with it and have tried to make it work. It is little too dark for me but I have still be using it and I have really enjoyed it. The concealer provides really good coverage and I have been using it for both blemishes and under my eyes. This does tend to disappear off your face by the end of the day but overall for the price it is pretty good.

Crystal Lipgloss in 02,  £1.99

I have no words other than NO for this!! It looks really pretty in the tube and I was really excited to give it a go but the first time I opened and used this it cut my lip!! The applicator is like hard and sharp! I haven't even attempted to give this another go because I am scared to harm myself again!!

Plumptuous Lipgloss in 08, £1.99
This is suppose to plump up your lips and leave them looking pretty and massive! This does make your lips look bigger and is a really pretty colour. I have used this quite a bit actually and unlike the other one it has a good doe foot applicator, so there is no worry about it stabbing me! The only problem with this lipgloss is that it is fairly sticky which isn't great on windy days because then I get a horrible hair stuck to lip situation.

Wow! Volume Mascara in 1 Black, £3
So this was the most expensive thing in the line but at only £3 it is still cheap! I really like this for lengthening my lashes, it makes them look really nice and long but tends to clump them together, so I end up with 3 really long lashes. As much as I like long lashes I would prefer more lashes at a smaller length. I have played around with this and found that although it isn't awful I have other mascaras that I much prefer.

Twist 'n' Line Eye Definer in 03 Blue, £1.99
They had this product in about 4 or 5 colours but I decided to go for blue because I don't actually own a blue liner so thought I would go for that one. This is fine, it isn't really bad but the pigmentation isn't very good and it doesn't stay on for very long. You have to really go for it when you apply this if you want to get a good level of colour and then it doesn't really stay on for that long, literally rubbed off after 2 hours. I'm not going to chuck this away but it also isn't going to be something that I am leaning to regularly.

Ok, so that is my reviews on 2True. Overall I was pleasantly surprised, except for the first lipgloss none of the products were bad and for under 2 quid they are pretty good. I will be keeping all of these in my make up collection and be persisting with them!! Hope you enjoyed this 'brand focus' post and I will be back tomorrow with a review of one of the Make Up Revolution Salvation Palettes (which i'm loving). Hope you enjoyed and thanks for reading,

Dove Refresh and Care Dry Shampoo Review

Batiste quite literally owns it when it comes to dry shampoo. I think I have consistently used it since I was about 16 and have never been disappointed by it, until now! I have just felt that recently my hair hasn't really responded to Batiste so I have strayed away from my old favourite and found myself really liking this new little guy.

I am pretty sure someone either recommended me this or I read about this on a blog because I am not sure how else I would have stumbled across it, but boy am I glad I did. I think I purchased this from Superdrug in late March and my initially impression was god lord this is expensive! This is £4.59 for 100ml where as Batiste is about £2.99 for 200ml, I know under a fiver is still cheap but as a fairly poor student price is a big factor for me! I do however think it is worth the price and I will definitely be repurchasing this, especially if I see it on offer!

What I like about this so much is the smell! It has a lovely clean smell and does actually make your hair feel cleaner after using it, which I have found others don't do for me. This absorbs grease amazingly and leaves my hair looking cleaner and less greasy but doesn't leave your hair in anyway powdery or white, which is great for girls with darker hair.

This dry shampoo also acts as a good voluminser. I have said it before and I'll say it again my hair literally has no life or body to it and I completely hate it so any product that promises volume is a winner for me! This does actually create quite a lot of volume as well as acting as a dry shampoo which is a lovely added bonus!

I basically really like this dry shampoo! I am going to repurchase Batiste, just to try it out again but this little bottle of goodness is shifting forwards into my favourites basket! Anyway hope you enjoyed my little review here, make sure to follow me on Bloglovin and come back tomorrow for a look at my recent non beauty favourites. Hope you enjoyed and thanks for reading,

Osbourne Collection at MAC

When it comes to a MAC collection I turn into a mad women and literally want to purchase all of it! My favourite collection this year so far has to be the Fantasy of Flowers collection which included the stunning Mineralise Skin Finish in Stereo Rose which is constantly in my make up bag but I think a new favourite may have just wandered into my life in the form of the Kelly and Sharon Osbourne Collection.

I went into my local MAC store the day this collection came out just for a little look at the products in person, I had already read so many reviews but wanted to give everything a little swatch and play with before deciding on what products I definitely wanted to buy. But as usual I lost control of my spending and ended up buying 2 little things! There are definitely a lot of things from this collection that I am still eyeing up (both the quads in particular) so this is just a little taster because I am sure I will be running back to MAC very soon.

I love the packaging for both the girls and because of this wanted to make sure I got something from both lines. From Kelly I finally decided on the Blusher in Cheeky Bugger.  This is a satin finish blush which goes on a pretty understated rosy peach colour. I love a bright pink blusher so I was initially drawn to Sharon's blusher in Peaches and Cream which is much brighter but I decided to try something slightly different and go for a softer one. I have already used this blusher loads and I like it a lot (more than when I first swatched it in the shop). I think it will look fab on loads of skin tones, especially fair skin, but will also look amazing on with a bit of a tan. The finish of this is really love and leaves your cheeks looking stained with colour and beautifully flushed. As for the rest of Kelly's line I am really interested in 2 of the lipsticks, Kelly Yum Yum, a bright blue toned pink and the lovely bright lilac Dodgy Girl. Her Bloody Brilliant Eye Shadow Quad is also one I am keeping my eye on.

Onto Sharon and I played it very safe by just picking up a Lipglass in Pussy Willow. Firstly the name? Is it suppose to be naughty, I don't really get it!! This is a lovely gold super glittery sheer lipgloss. I think I prefer the lilac packaging of Kelly's line slightly more but the red packaging is stunning as well! I mostly got this to wear over lipsticks because I am loving a shimmery glossy lip at the moment but over the last couple of days I have enjoyed wearing this just on its own. Last night I did wear this over MAC Plink!, and I think it looked really gorgeous. It doesn't look too gold on the lips which I like but still leaves them with a bit of colour and not just glitter! This, like all their lip products, smells and tastes like vanilla (AMAZING). Out of the rest of the Sharon line there isn't that many things I am drawn too, the Duchess Eyeshaow Quad is under strong consideration for purchasing as is the Blusher in Peaches and Cream. But apart from that I like the Kelly range a little bit more, I think it is more appealing for younger people where as I reckon my mum would love some of the lip colours in the Sharon range!

All this reviewing has made me want to run back to MAC to get more so excuse me, i'm off!! Be back here tomorrow for a look at my new favourite dry shampoo, hope you enjoyed and thanks for reading,

Laura xx

I was going to link some of the products I like from the collection below but it looks like a lot of it is already sold out online. So I would advise going in and seeing if there is still some bits in stock in your local store!

Tanya Burr Lips and Nails Review

I am a massive Tanya Burr fan, so when I found out she was releasing some make up I have to admit I was quite excited! I didn't purchase any of the products straight away as I wanted to wait until they were in stores so that I could see everything in the flesh before deciding on what bits I wanted. I started off getting just 1 of the lipglosses and 1 of the nail polishes and those are the ones I am going to talk about.

Lipgloss wise I was immediately drawn to Aurora, as you all know I a massive sucker when it comes to cute names and this one I definitely purchased based on the name, I love disney princesses and also aurora sounds like Laura! The packaging is nothing too special but it is sleek and functional. My first thought was how good the lipgloss smells! It has a lovely berry scent (and flavour if you lick your lips) and when applying isn't sticky at all. Aurora provides quite a lot of pigmented colour for a lipgloss and leaves the lips looking plump, glossy and a really nice pink colour. I have loved using this as a day to day lipgloss but it also looks amazing over lipsticks. My winning combination is this combined with MAC Chatterbox, this literally leaves your lips looking awesome!

On the nail polish front I choose to pick up the super cute Little Duck. I picked this up because I really wanted a duck egg blue nail polish which this colour really is. I first put this on with no base coat or top coat and disappointingly it did chip after just a couple of days. Second time round though and I used a base coat and top coat and the last power was much more impressive so that would be my recommendation for application. I used this colour on my toes for holiday and I was crazy impressed with how long it lasted! I think I retouched it once over the whole holiday which is fab considering that I was in and out of both the pool and sea.

Generally I have been fairly impressed with these products. Price wise these are middle of the range drugstore products but I would say the quality is slightly higher than the price which is of course amazing! I am very keen to try some more colours, especially in the lipgloss, what colours do you guys like? I know I am a bit late on the Tanya Burr train but better late than never!! Make sure to give my blog a follow on Bloglovin so you can keep up to date with  any new posts and come back tomorrow for a look at my new favourite MAC collection! Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Finish Lipstick Review and Swatches

Now I know I am a bit late on this bandwagon but I am finally aboard and wanted to share my thoughts on these lipsticks with you.
Top- Hot Pepper
Bottom- Frambourjois

First up these are at the more expensive end of the drugstore at £8.99 which did initially put me off but 1, there is always some sort of deal on at Superdrug or Boots and 2, these are worth the money (and maybe even more). I first picked these up back in March so have been using them for a couple of months now and my thoughts haven't actually changed much since I first used them. I also really like the packaging of these, I think the doe foot applicator is really lovely and soft on the lips and the rectangular packaging makes the lipstick look more highend than Bourjois.

The colours I picked up are Hot Pepper, a bright orange toned red  and Frambourjois, a deep almost purpleish pink. I couldn't decide for ages which 2 colours to purchase but eventually decided out of the 6 available these were the most 'me' colours. Since reading loads and reviews and seeing all the colours swatched I am really interested in picking up Ping Pong as well. I think out of the 2 I have fallen most in love with Hot Pepper, I rarely ever wear a red lip, let alone a matte red lip so this is quite a scary lipstick for me but I really really enjoy wearing it.

These apply glossy and then dry a lovely velvet matte, which stays on all night. The first time I wore this on a night out I think I reapplied once over the whole night and literally had to scrub at my lips to get this off!! The lasting power of these are fabulous and what is even more amazing is that these do not make your lips looked chapped and disgusting! I have never really got on with many matte lip products, mainly because I don't think they look that nice unless you have perfect moisturised and non cracked lips (which I sadly do not have) but these bad boys are different. No matter how disgusting my lips are these go on beautifully and make my lips look gorgeous (if I don't say so myself!).

Overall I am really really impressed with these and I will definitely be picking up some more shades. Only having 6 colours does make the line quite limited but hopefully over time they will release some more shades because I am sure everyone will love them. Have you guys tried these? What did you think?

I am so so so happy to say that I have receached 100 followers, I didn't think 100 people would ever in a million years care about my blog, so thank you so much to everyone who has followed me on Bloglovin. And if you haven't followed me yet please do! Links are in the side and also below. Come back tomorrow for another haul, this time Body Shop. Hope you are all having a good Sunday, thanks for reading and hope you enjoyed,

P.S- Just looked on the Boots website and there is a deal for 2 for £14 on Bourjois products and 3 for 2 on make up at Superdrug so if you are interested in getting these check these deals out!

THE BEST FOUNDATION EVER REVIEW, maybe?

Just thinking about writing this post makes me weirdly excited. It is rare that I find any product that I think is flawless, even my favourite beauty products have a few faults in my eyes but finally it has happened I have found the most perfect foundation, FACT.

I think I finally decided to spend the £31 in Space NK for this about October/November last year and although at the time it felt like a lot of money to spend on one thing, I don't regret it at all. This is my first high end foundation purchase so everything from the colour matching to actually handing over my card was very exciting for me! I am colour Santa Fe which I think is a perfect match for me but 2 of my housemates have also been colour matched and they are also both Santa Fe yet we are all completely different skin toned so I don't really know how that works??

I reserve Nars Sheer Glow for nights out and special occasions because I want to try and make this last as long as possible! I tend to use my Real Techniques Buffing Brush to apply this and then my Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge to further blend and give a really flawless finish. This does have a SPF but I have rarely ever seen a flashback on this which is great because I mostly wear it on picture taking occasions.

Whilst writing this I have been trying really hard to try and find some sort of criticism of this but I really can't. I guess everyone will have their opinion of this and for some skin tones/types this may not be amazing but I love it. My only tiny tiny critique is that it comes without a pump, which means it can get a little messy but I don't really mind that too much. you are going to invest in a high end foundation and are unsure which one it should be then you should take note and get to Space NK quick!!

I know this was a very biased review of this foundation but I hope you found it at least a little useful. Have you tried this foundation? And what do you think of it? Remember to please follow me on Bloglovin and also on Instagram to see what I am up to on a daily basis. Check back here Wednesday to see

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water Review

First of sorry! Because of an awful hangover and a long day at work this post is a day late but it is better late than never!!

I bought this cleansing water a month or so ago after my Bioderma Solution Micellaire ran out. I honestly wasn't expecting this to be that good but after reading a couple of reviews online I wanted to give it a go and I am very glad I did. This comes in a fairly big bottle (400ml) and is such a good price for the amount you get! I have been using this loads and it less than half gone, amazing!

This product feels so lovely on your skin whilst you are using it and you can really tell that it is cleansing your skin. This is perfect for when you are feeling lazy and can't be bothered to do a full cleansing routine (which I often am too lazy to do). It is also great at removing really heavy make up and waterproof mascara without too much scrubbing at your eyes!

I would recommend not using too much of this on a cotton pad as I think when you use a lot it can leave your face a bit too wet! But no matter how much you use, this doesn't leave any kind of residue on your skin at all which is fabulous.

This might seem extreme but I never thought that I would find a cleansing water that rivalled
Bioderma, but I am so pleased to say that I actually have!! This product is so great and I really think that my skin has improved because of this water. So from me this gets a massive thumbs up! If you are in the market for a great make up remover you should pop down to Boots and get your hands on this!!

So that is all for my rave review of this product, I hoped you found it helpful and please come back tomorrow where I'll be talking about some forgotten make up loves! Hope you enjoyed and thanks for reading,
